Professor Rory Fitzgerald is Director of the European Social Survey (ESS), established as a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ESS ERIC) in 2013 and hosted at City, St George’s University of London. ESS ERIC now has 30 Members (November 2021), over 230,000 registered users, significant policy and media impact and extensive use in teaching and research across Europe and the rest of the world. Professor Fitzgerald is currently working to expand the ESS to include a regular cross-national web first panel.
