Artificial intelligence offers opportunities to strengthen interoperability across CESSDA by
enhancing metadata quality, improving multilingual consistency, and supporting
automated workflows. The AI and Interoperability Working Groups bring together external
speakers to explore:
- How can AI-driven metadata enhancements and quality assessments improve the interoperability of metadata across Service Providers?
- Which practical workflows or frameworks (e.g., CroissantML) can CESSDA adopt to integrate AI into data curation while safeguarding FAIR principles?
- What ethical and regulatory safeguards are needed to ensure AI-generated metadata and automated processes are trustworthy and transparent?
