How can research infrastructure support new opportunities and benefits for society? These are some of the questions that will be addressed during the conference.
The conference will highlight the role of research infrastructures and data in the digital era, and focus on measures that increase access to research infrastructures – and to their data and services – for researchers, businesses and society at large.
A priority for the Swedish Presidency
Knowledge development and innovation capacity are important prerequisites for enhanced competitiveness, which are priorities of the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU. Research and innovation are also prerequisites for tackling crises and societal challenges, ensuring security and prosperity for the citizens of Europe and implementing the green and digital transitions. Research infrastructures contribute to research quality, industry competitiveness and societal benefit.
CESSDA joining the Conference
CESSDA Director Bonnie Wolff-Boenisch will join the Conference and participate as speaker in Plenary sessionThe European Landscape in the Digital Era – The Role of Research Infrastructures and Data and Panel discussion 1 “How is Digitalisation in Research Affecting People and Society?” as well as the session on Long-term financing of sustainable Research Infrastructures and Data.
She will provide the research infrastructure perspective and in insight into the connection of the long-term management of data in research infrastructures and long-term financing and sustainability.
