2nd SERISS Train: Sampling, Weighting and Estimation in Survey Methodology

This course will cover three interrelated topics: methods of selecting complex samples, creation of analysis weights that adjust for nonresponse and undercoverage, and the analysis of data collected via complex weighted surveys.

A second SERISS training course on survey sampling, weighting and estimation will take place at the University of Ljubljana on 24-25 April 2017.

The training session – Sampling, Weighting and Estimation in Survey Methodology – will be instructed by Stefan Zins and Matthias Sand of GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Science, Mannheim.

The course is aimed at Doctoral Candidates at all stages, and Postdoctorates from Humanities and Social Sciences.

The course will cover three interrelated topics: methods of selecting complex samples, creation of analysis weights that adjust for nonresponse and undercoverage, and the analysis of data collected via complex weighted surveys.

As with the first SERISS training course, up to 25 participants are invited to attend.

There will be no tuition fees or accommodation costs for all participants, who will be selected from the applications received.Applications are accepted until 13 February 2017.
