CESSDA ERIC is looking for a Project Manager to support the administration and coordination of European Commission (EC) funded projects and internal projects related to digital research infrastructure and data services.

Location: Bergen, Norway
Contract: Full-time, fixed-term (1 year – parental leave replacement)
Working language: English

The vacancy is open until filled. Short-listed candidates will first be interviewed virtually. Successful candidates will be invited to an in-person meeting in Bergen, Norway.

Main responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and monitor project tasks and deliverables
  • Contribute to project documentation and reporting (technical and financial)
  • Support grant acquisition and proposal writing
  • Represent CESSDA at project meetings and in outreach activities
  • Assist internal project processes and reporting across CESSDA Service Providers

Required qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in management, business, IT, data science, or social sciences (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years’ project management experience, preferably in EC or similar research funding programmes
  • Strong coordination and communication skills across international and multi-partner settings
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Sensitivity to data privacy and GDPR
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Additional assets:

  • Knowledge of EC project procedures and management methodologies
  • Ability to bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with digital infrastructure concepts (metadata, data repositories, APIs)
