
We're Hiring a Project Manager
CESSDA ERIC is looking for a Project Manager to support the administration and coordination of European Commission (EC) funded projects and internal projects related to digital research infrastructure and data services.
Location: Bergen, Norway
Contract: Full-time, fixed-term (1 year – parental leave replacement)

The vacancy is open until filled. Short-listed candidates will first be interviewed virtually. Successful candidates will be invited to an in-person meeting in Bergen, Norway.
Main responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor project tasks and deliverables
- Contribute to project documentation and reporting (technical and financial)
- Support grant acquisition and proposal writing
- Represent CESSDA at project meetings and in outreach activities
- Assist internal project processes and reporting across CESSDA Service Providers
Required qualifications:
- Master’s degree in management, business, IT, data science, or social sciences (or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years’ project management experience, preferably in EC or similar research funding programmes
- Strong coordination and communication skills across international and multi-partner settings
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Sensitivity to data privacy and GDPR
- Willingness to travel as needed
Additional assets:
- Knowledge of EC project procedures and management methodologies
- Ability to bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with digital infrastructure concepts (metadata, data repositories, APIs)
