
CESSDA publishes calls for funding for the CESSDA Work Plan 2026-27
CESSDA has published two calls for funding for the CESSDA Work Plan for 2026-2027. The first is a Call for Expression of Interest for the maintenance of CESSDA Services, while the second is a Call for Expression of Interest for Service Upgrades, Working Groups, and CESSDA Selected Priorities 2026-2027.
These calls are internal to the CESSDA Consortium; the 23 CESSDA Service Providers are eligible to apply. With these Calls, CESSDA is ensuring that the work-plan activities identified as priorities for the next two years are adequately resourced in a transparent and inclusive manner. CESSDA Service Providers may apply to serve as Service Owners and Technical Maintainers of CESSDA Services, to chair Working Groups, or to propose funding for training events or Working Group activities, and others.
First call
The first call initiates the procedure for contracting the maintenance of the following CESSDA services for the years 2026 and 2027:

CESSDA Vocabulary Service
European Language Social Science Thesaurs
European Question Bank
Data Management Expert Guide/Data Archiving Guide
Resource Directory/Training Resources
Metadata Office
The call is funded from the CESSDA Core budget to ensure the sustainability of services.
Second call
The second call will focus on three areas of activities, supported by additional funding available for the 2026-2027 work plan:
Area 1: Service Upgrades
Area 2: Roles of Chair and Vice-Chair of the Artificial Intelligence WG
Area 3: Activities under the selected Priorities for 2026-2027
Area 3a: Training activities
Area 3b: CESSDA KPIs data leverage activities
Area 3c: Activities proposed by Key Topic Working Groups.
