Over the last year, The CESSDA Main Office has been on the lookout for new colleagues to join our team in Bergen, Norway. We are now delighted to welcome Taras and Vishal to our team, as our new Legal and Technical officers.

Legal Officer Taras Turkevyč Tangenes

Taras Turkevyč Tangenes is joining the team as a Legal Officer, with a background covering both consulting and in-house positions at established enterprises and fast-growing startups. His experience includes tax litigation, international tax compliance, employment matters and supporting companies through periods of steep growth. He holds a Master's degree in Law from Masaryk University in Brno, Czechia.

Outside the office, Taras has been a dedicated rugby player for 10 years, and recently discovered that golf is far more addictive than expected. He lives in Bergen with his lovely wife and their 2.5-year-old son. A fun fact: he once spent half a year living in Alta, deep in the Arctic North among reindeers, experiencing the midnight sun firsthand, which was quite the adventure!

Taras is delighted to be on board and excited for what's ahead together!

Technical Officer Vishal Bohra 

Vishal Bohra brings solid experience in Data Platform and infrastructure to his role at CESSDA. Before joining, he worked as a Big Data, Kafka, Linux, and Kubernetes Administrator at Nexi Digital in Oslo supporting critical systems and data platforms.

He has worked with distributed systems and modern infrastructure, helping ensure stable and efficient operations. His background includes managing data pipelines, maintaining system performance, and resolving technical challenges in complex environments.

He holds a bachelor degree in Computer Science from Uttarakhand Technical University.

He lives in Oslo with his family and enjoys spending his free time playing PlayStation with his daughter.

Vishal Bohra is excited to join the team and looks forward to working with everyone.
