I4NG Make it Green: Insights on climate action and public perception [online workshop, presentation]

The workshop introduced participants to the Green pillar of the NextGenerationEU programme and demonstrated how European social science data infrastructures can support research and policymaking related to climate change and sustainability. It also presented the data resources and activities of the Infra4NextGen project and highlighted the use of cross-national survey infrastructures such as the European Social Survey, the European Values Study, and the Generations and Gender Programme. Through expert presentations and a hands-on research exercise, the workshop fostered collaboration between researchers and policy stakeholders and demonstrated the role of evidence-based analysis, including contributions from the Joint Research Centre.
Objective
By the end of the workshop, participants were able to: Apply theoretical frameworks and European social data to research questions related to tackling climate change and supporting green projects; Develop feasible and policy-relevant research questions, including the selection of appropriate data sources and analytical approaches.; Communicate preliminary research findings effectively to academic and policy-oriented audiences through clear visual and oral presentations.
