This webinar will introduce you to the recently published Expert Tour Guide on Data Management, developed by fifteen data experts from the Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives (CESSDA). Travel with us for an hour and we will show you how to use the guide for self-study or how to use it for delivering face-to-face data management training. Besides an overview of the guide and how to navigate it, the trip will zoom in on data management planning and key legal and ethical considerations in creating shareable data. Overall, the expert tour guide provides guidance to early career social scientists, from planning, organising, documenting, processing, storing and protecting data to sharing and publishing them. Along the way, illustrations and examples, as well as expert tips and insights into data management practices in different European countries lighten up the journey.
